uote="Adrian"]Thank you for your quick response.
I have just taken 25mg now at 12, later at 16 and will again at 20.
I'm rather frightened, feeling very ill.
My last intake was Monday evening when I was taking 200mg per day.....

Das ist aber eine schöne gefühl zu wissen das ich nicht allein sei.

Danke.

Stopping BAC from high dosages causes severe rebound attacks of disturbance, maybe seizures, even worse than any side effects of baclofen...

You should not decrease your dose much faster than you increased it. Maybe 25 oder 50mg less are enough. Try to find the highest dose without limiting side effects.

Next aim should be to reduce your alcohol intake as much as possible. Imagine that 1g of alcohol "neutralizes" the effect of 1mg BAC!

Baclofen also works against withdrawal symptoms - an equivalence of 30mg either Baclofen or Diazepam is proven in alcohol withdrawal.

Once again: Do not stop Baclofen from 200mg at once - it is really a risky adventure!

Dear Praxx.
Federico wrote and gave me a a table re. dosis.
Asked me if I would do a "diary" of intake and side -effects.
Will do that.

Had a long discussion with my G.P. tonight.
Daniel is anti. According to his statistics 75mg Baclofen is the limit.
Sent him this address and hope he will read up.
Strange.
We are friends, neighbours.

I get Baclofen from another neighbour. M. is aenathist.
Daniel says whoever gave me the recipe will have to pay the full amount (back.)

Could you please tell me whats going on.

Adrian

Hello Adrian,

your GP follows the advice on Baclofenes "yellow sheet". For unknown reasons the outpatient daily intake of baclofene is limited at 75mg. Nobody knows why. All over the world neurologists use much higher oral doses to prevent their patients from risky implantation of intrathekal pumps (infection, mechanical failure). Severe intoxications only have been seen with pump failure. A suicide attempt with more then 2g of oral baclofene was reported as "survived without any permanent damages".

In France, participants of the BACLOVILLE study received up to 400mg per day of oral baclofene without adverse side effects.

In animal trials the craving suppression was observed at doses of more than 3mg/kg body weight.

Even the german BACLAD study used up to 270mg per day without adverse events.

To follow the french regimen ist a safe and effective method of high dose baclofen use.

Don't worry
